Sorry I've been gone for a while -- I've got great posts lined up for this month. Mainly, revisiting our #QFF because it's almost time to prepare for Fall (I know I'm in Singapore... But a girl can dream, right? And dress with less layers, of course). Also, in the process of a bigger project: to photograph a day in my life! Many of you have been asking me how I get organized, or start my day and what I do so that post is coming soon, just for you, I'm squeal-excited!
I've also got an awesome FBG and SBH planned, so stay with me. :) This is also Part 1 of the SEAMLESS series, because I've found an ADORABLE romper that I want to style for Summer and Fall too!
Back to this #QFF. I found the softest, lightweight fit-and-flare dress that looked gorgeous just last week (broke my rule for the 50% sale!) at GAP Kids. It's knitted for fall but lightweight and airy enough for summer (I know, right? Don't even know how that's possible!) and may be the perfect staple because I'm finding so many ways to style it! I had a hard time narrowing down the accessories because this dress looked amazing with a summery, pink belt and a black belt with gold accents too. This is one staple dress that can bring you from school to dinner, or work to a date!
For the Summer version, I picked happy colors and easy-t0-maintain accessories that will stay in your wardrobe for a long time. The hat flops just so prettily and complements the dress, while the orange bag brings a pop of color to the outfit. I paired the entire ensemble with comfortable (seriously, Sam Edelman for the win!) denim flats that are fun for a day at the beach, the park or even in a mall.
For the Fall version, I picked a gorgeous green peacoat. The color is unique and stands out from the crowd without being too "high-profile", and when worn unbuttoned, complements the dress adorably. I personally think peacoats are the best thing that's ever happened to petite girls. They give off the polished but cute look that makes pairing so easy. I dressed the outfit down a little with a camel bag that would look gorgeous on one shoulder with the peacoat, and finished up the outfit with gorgeous, comfortable, low-heeled booties.
So how do you like these two outfits? Yay or nay? Personally can't wait to wear them (hopefully I'll get to wear the Fall ensemble in London next April!).
